Construction is still underway on the neighborhood’s newest Latin cuisine concept at 1905 Greenville.
James and Iana Price are opening La Bodega’s in the space at the corner of Greenville and Alt. They originally hoped to open by the end of the year, but the opening date was pushed back due to some city approval issues.
Although the overall concept is the same — “authentic Latin cuisine, not Tex-Mex” — James plans to add fresh-squeezed juice to the bar. He hopes to introduce “a lot of new concepts from Europe and Central America” to the drink menu, he told us earlier this year. “I’m really excited about that.”
One of the main concerns was getting approval for the patio, but now outdoor bar tops have been added to the space.
Crews are still working on the interior finishes. They kept the rustic brick walls, and added some wood and tile. There are several different stations inside, as you can see in the photos.
