Promise of Peace broke ground on a community garden on East Grand Saturday. A $10,000 grant from the city of Dallas helped them get it started.
Neighbors can sponsor a garden plot, or sign up to work their own plot for $75. And they can sponsor a booth at an upcoming open-air market for between $50 and $200. Promise of Peace also is looking for local artists who would like to sell garden sculptures at the market.
