The Writer’s Garrett, a literary learning center located in East Dallas at the Paperback Plus store, offers a unique educational opportunity for aspiring and professional writers through its CAMP (Community And Mentorship Program) program, which you can register for through Dec. 1.
The non-credit creative writing program offers college and graduate school-level training to those whose financial or time restraints prevent their pursuit of a traditional university degree, says Joe Milazzo, Director of Community Education And Outreach for the Writer’s Garrett.
CAMP students work in small groups and one-on-one, at advanced levels, with professional writers to develop craft, study habits, and a writer’s sensibility, he says. December 1 is the deadline to apply for CAMP — tuition and work exchange program options are available. Contact camp@writersgarrett.org or 214-828-1715. Visit their web site for more info.
