If you’ve ever had hot coffee spill on you, then you know how painful it can be—and if you haven’t, then you can imagine how painful it would be.
Well, apparently a whole lot of Starbucks customers have been complaining about the blistering brew leaking from the sip holes of their coffee cup lids. In fact, customers have been complaining so much that the head honchos at Starbucks decided to put a cork in it, quite literally. The coffeehouse giant recently unveiled new splash sticks: tiny plastic plugs for those sip holes.
The new splash sticks are topped with the signature Starbucks siren, and more importantly, keep coffee from spilling over.
That coffee spillage solution is thanks in part to MyStarbucksIdea.com, a new website where customers can sound off with praises, complaints or ideas. If you’d like Starbucks to hear a piece of your mind, check out the website—and keep an eye out for the new splash sticks at a Starbucks near you this week.
