With Summer break upon us, I didn’t expect to have much to convey on doings down on Ross Avenue. I really didn’t.   However, literally moments following the final discussions on school uniforms at Woodrow SBDM tonight, another parental favorite was handed down. It seems that  our School Board will vote on May 24 on following staff recommendation to require all student backpacks to be either clear or see-through mesh. It appears that the well-documented concerns, such as inherently small size, light capacity, lack of durability, limited supply and their propensity for displaying personal items that are legal, but no one really wants to see, are all just details for the little people to work out. You know, the tax payers.
