According to a press release from the organization, Tonight We Ride operates through four core outreach areas supporting street outreach, veteran’s assistance, community assistance and crisis relief. The nonprofit aims to connect individuals and families with resources while building relationships.

The organization’s work ranges from distributing meals, clothing and hygiene supplies to individuals experiencing homelessness to helping veterans navigate available support services. It also offers a nomination-based assistance program for people facing unexpected hardship and mobilizes relief programs in response to natural disasters, including previous responses to Texas floods, California wildfires and the Haiti earthquake.

The launch party is open to the public at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 22 at Barley House. The night will feature performances by local bands, including RTB2, Brent Best of Slobberbone, John Pedigo & Chad Stockslager, and Madison King, and an opportunity to connect with the movement.

Tonight We Ride was founded by Chad Davenport. In the 1990s, Davenport started Chad D’s Annual Toy Drive, an event that combined support for local bands and groups like Dallas LIFE homeless recovery center and The Family Place

“Tonight We Ride is anchored in friendships built through service,” founder Chad Davenport said in the press release. “Our motto — changing the world, one person at a time — isn’t just something we say; it’s something we live. Because when you help even one person, the ripple effect can travel farther than you ever imagined.”
