A man is dead following a stabbing on Monday morning in Old East Dallas.
Dallas police responded to the call at about 9 a.m. Dec. 8 in the 4800 block of Gaston Avenue, according to The DPD Beat. The man, who is to be identified by the Dallas County Medical Examiner, was taken to the hospital and died. Dallas police have accused Cleto Banda, 33, of committing the crime and arrested him near the scene.
WFAA reported that a witness had seen the victim point at Banda and say, “He stabbed me!” The arrest warrant affidavit states that Banda admitted to the stabbing during an interview with police officers and was arrested while holding a bloody knife.
Online records show Banda is being held at the Gill-Hernandez Medical Facility and is facing a murder charge.
