The CFE Fund is a national nonprofit that was established to support municipal efforts to improve the financial stability of households through programs, research and policy efforts.

The EFE initiative will provide Dallas with the ability to connect residents to financial support resources during emergencies.

The City will receive technical assistance from the CFE Fund to integrate financial empowerment services into emergency response protocols. Examples include individualized financial counseling and guidance on navigating federal grant and loan applications.

Additionally, the initiative is bolstered by a $150,000 grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies as part of their Greenwood Initiative that aims to accelerate the pace of wealth for Black individuals and families, while addressing systemic underinvestment in Black communities.
