The 18th annual AIA Dallas Tour of Homes will be happening Oct. 26 through Oct. 27. This roundup of homes includes properties in Preston Hollow, Highland Park, North Dallas and our neighborhood.
The self-guided in person tour is from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Tickets are available at the home tour’s website starting at $60 with VIP, weekend admission and single home options.
There are two properties from our neighborhood that will be available for viewing during the tour:
6634 Yosemite Lane
Architect: Laura Juarez BaggettÂ
The two-story home features a bird watching platform that doubles as a catwalk entry, a small private lake and an ipe deck, among other noteworthy characteristics. The home also utilizes materials from the previous residence.Â
8131 Santa Clara Drive
Architect: Thad Reeves
The renovated house was made with the intention of maintaining elements from its original 1940’s design and incorporating those features in its new layout. Natural light and the incorporation of the outdoors are key characteristics of the home.
