The project is meant to be a “rejuvenation” of Deep Ellum’s Art Park, according to the project description. The series of new murals will appear from Main Street to Canton Street along Good Latimer Expressway. Local artists will be asked to create murals in alignment with the concept of “new growth.” The location is intended to be a tourist destination and cultural site for the district after the murals are complete.

Artists must be 19 years or older to be considered eligible. The deadline for applications is midnight Oct. 24.

More information about eligibility and guidelines can be found at the Deep Ellum Foundation website.
