The Knox-Henderson staple The Porch will be introducing a brand-new brunch menu, Saturday, July 13.

While there are plenty of new options to choose from, The Porch was careful not to get rid of their fan-favorite dishes like the Hot Fried Chicken & Biscuits.

Several of the new menu items will be taking a modern approach to Southern classics, according to Chef and Vice President of Restaurants at Headington Companies, Coner Seargeant.

“The Southern charm of The Porch is evident in so many of these new items but with a fresh approach – take the Johnny Cakes for example,” said Seargeant. “In The Porch’s version, we add peppers and fresh corn to the mix and serve ours with four pieces of Nueske’s bacon, as well as Balcones whiskey maple syrup—the perfect combination of savory and sweet.”

The food isn’t the only thing getting a revamp, as a few new drinks have made their way into the mix. Among them are the new gin-basedCosmonaut” featuring the restaurant’s housemade berry preserves shaken with fresh lemon juice, and the cocktail called “Baby’s First Bourbon”, a combination of Evan Williams bourbon, orgeat, lemon, and angostura.

Patrons can also expect complimentary Bloody Mary Shots all weekend during brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., all summer long.
