If you’re driving along Loop 12 near the Mockingbird Lane and Peavy Road bridge Saturday, watch out for a new traffic pattern.
The Texas Department of Transportation will implement a new traffic pattern on the road from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Traffic will switch to newly constructed lanes on the northbound and southbound ramps during the operation.
Message boards will be placed to alert drivers of the shift.
Motorists should expect temporary lane closures during this time because crews will be striping the road.
The closure is part of a project to upgrade and replace the Mockingbird Lane and Peavy Road bridge. Completion is expected by summer 2020.
