Taste of Dallas turns 30 this weekend, and what better way to celebrate with food, art and music? There will be 45 food booths, some of the most popular food trucks and ways to sample wine, beer and spirits; and that’s just the things you can eat. The foodie bonanza runs all weekend, from June 3 to 5. Check out all activities on the event’s website. What about the kids? Not to worry. There will be jugglers, magicians and more. General admission tickets are on sale for $14 in advance at Albertsons, Fiesta, Tom Thumb and Walgreens; $20 at Fair Park.

The Dallas Arboretum begins its Family Fun Fridays on June 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Not only can kids enjoy the popular spewing frogs, but also, face painting, a petting zoo and more. These events are free for kids that are two and under. Prices vary for other age groups, and don’t forget the parking fee.

The Shops at Park Lane will kick off its outdoor movie series this Friday, June 3 with “Beethoven.” The event is free and will start at 8:30 p.m., weather permitting. To go with the theme of the movie, DFW Rescue Me will be there with their dog-kissing booth. If you can’t make it this Friday, plan to come out any other Friday this month!

 

Gather round, pups! It’s time for you to have some fun too at Dog Day Afternoon on Flagpole Hill. In honor of its 40th Anniversary, Operation Kindness and Pet Supplies Plus are pulling out all of the stops to make this event “Best in Show.” Rain or shine, this event will not want to be missed. There will be contests, free microchipping for the first 125 dogs and a dog friendly cake that will weigh in at 170 pounds.
