The Dallas 24 Hour Club is raising money a little differently this year. Instead of its normal fundraiser, the Dallas All-Star Chef Classic, the organization is raising money by publishing a cookbook.
The cookbook is titled “Cooking at Home: A Collection of Recipes Created by Dallas’ Top Chefs From Their Home to Yours.” Jose chef Anastacia Quiñones-Pittman and Eric Dreyer, executive chef at Ellie’s Restaurant & Lounge at HALL Arts Hotel, serve as honorary chef chairs for the cookbook.
The book features more than 40 recipes from various local chefs. Kent Rathbun, owner and chef at Rathbun Test Kitchen and Imoto; Sebastien Archambault, executive chef at The Mansion Restaurant at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek; and Janice Provost, executive chef and proprietor at Parigi, all penned recipes they cook for their families.
“I love the theme of this cookbook because it showcases the love we give to our own families,” Quiñones-Pittman said in a statement. “‘Cooking At Home’ will give the reader a chance to peek into our dining rooms, one recipe at a time.”
The Dallas 24 Hour Club, located at 4636 Ross Ave. in East Dallas, provides “safe, sober transitional living for homeless men and women seeking a brand new life away from drugs and alcohol.”
Pre-sales of the cookbook began July 8, and copies will ship Nov. 1. The star-studded cookbook is $43 with discounts for bulk orders. It can be ordered here.
