The Dallas Business Journal reports that Zöe’s Kitchen is expanding by as many as five new stores in the Dallas area.

Today’s print edition says the Alabama-based company, whose president, Kevin Miles, lives in Dallas, is considering Southlake, Highland Village, Lakewood, Richardson and Fort Worth.

Zöe’s has locations at Lover’s and the Tollway, Preston and Royal, and Snider Plaza, plus one store in Plano and two in Fort Worth. The fast-food concept features Mediterranean-inspired food.

UPDATE: Zöe’s Kitchen’s spokeswoman in Dallas, Jessica Nuñez, says Lakewood is one location the company is considering. “It’s a great area because it’s family focused, and it really fits the Zöe’s demographic,” she says. They probably won’t be able to announce anything until next year. But Nuñez says the new Zöe’s locations will be similar to the one at Preston & Forest, which Advocate Preston Hollow editor Emily Toman reviewed in February.
