Yardstick Dog Hotel plans to open a new location in the Medallion Center off Northwest Highway on April 24, according to a press release.
Yardstick is designed like a boutique hotel with a curated room service menu (featuring a “puppuccino”), a sofa lounge, outdoor play areas with sun and rain protection and personalized photo shoots for holidays. For safety, highly trained hosts provide on-site overnight supervision at the hotel. Group play among the dogs are segmented by size, temperament and sound reduction.
Yardstick previously opened a location in the Dallas Design District earlier this year.
“The warm welcome we received in Dallas at our Design District location exceeded our expectations, with dog parents traveling from all over the city, trusting us with their four legged family members,” Yardstick co-founder and CEO Dave Atkins said in the press release. “We couldn’t be more excited to be opening in Lakewood and become a home away from home for even more dogs.”
