Specifically, the new Chuy’s will be located at 1520 Greenville Ave. at the corner of Hudson Street and across from Great Clips and Dollar Tree.

This change comes with a cost. While the Chuy’s on Greenville Avenue is opening, the location on McKinney Avenue that has been around for over 30 years will be closing, according to a report by WFAA. The restaurant at Knox Street and McKinney Avenue is expected to close April 20, and the Greenville Avenue location will open April 28. The plan to move was announced by the Tex-Mex chain in August.

Founders Mike Young and John Zapp started Chuy’s in 1982 in Austin. WFAA reported that Chuy’s was sold to Darden Restaurants, which also oversees chains like Olive Garden and Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, last year.
