We appreciate neighbors like Kyle Rains, who give us a heads up as neighborhood news surfaces — like Woodrow moving up on Newsweek‘s best high school list. Another Woodrow mention at the tail end of Rains’s email also got my attention:
“Leslie McDonel ’98 was on the Tony Awards last night in the cast of ‘American Idiot’. Gosh is she wearing red and gray?” (Find the YouTube video after the jump; based on Rains’s comment, I’m assuming McDonel is one of the girls who runs onto the stage around the 3:10 mark, and is wearing a red jacket with a red and gray striped shirt.)
I interviewed Leslie for a December 2006 story, when she was part of the cast of “Hairspray” on Broadway. I have occasionally wondered how she’s doing — whether her Broadway dream has continued to come true — so I was glad to see that she is still performing on the Great White Way.
