The Tim Brown and Davey O’Brien Track at Woodrow Wilson High School is getting resurfaced.
The track, honoring the school’s Heisman Trophy winners, was built in 2005 with all-weather surface material. The four-lane, 300-meter track is open for community use when not occupied by students.
With the expansion of athletics at Randall Park and construction of the Santa Fe Trail, community use of the track increased, and it succumbed to wear and tear from heavy foot traffic over the years.
