Thao Le was one of 14 STEM teachers from Dallas ISD secondary schools who received a Texas Instruments Innovations in STEM Teaching Award.

The company provided a $140,000 grant to the Dallas Education Foundation, and that organization allocated $10,000 to each teacher. Of the $10,000, half goes directly to the educator, and half is designated to be used at the discretion of each teacher for professional development or instructional technology.

Aaron Anderson, a teacher at Alex W. Spence Talented and Gifted Academy, which is slightly outside the Advocate‘s distribution, also received an award.
