A few of the Woodrow Wilson High School students who competed in the UIL 5A State Swimming and Diving Championships are returning with medals.

Junior Campbell Chase won the 200 individual medley for the third year in a row, with a time of 1:58.88. She also won the silver medal in the 100 breaststroke.

The boys 200 medley team of Jack Berube, Taylor Patterson, Landon Fike and Grant Closson finished sixth overall.

Individually, senior Berube finished third in the 200 freestyle and second in the 100 backstroke. Last year, Berube placed second in the 200 freestyle and in the 100 backstroke.

Closson, a senior, received a bronze in the 100 freestyle.

The 400 freestyle team of Closson, Fike, Maxwell Freele and Jack Berube made it to the consolation round but did not place in the top eight of the finals.

The competition was held Friday and Saturday at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center at the University of Texas at Austin. See the complete list of results here.
