Twelve Woodrow DECA members qualified for the State Career Development Conference in Fort Worth Feb. 24-26. Among the students participating in this national management and entrepreneurship program are Andrew Rivas, Ismael Sanchez, Mark Fraser, Rebecca Hidrogo, Max Castillo, Iris Jaime, Anna Reynoso, Arely Bustamante, Garrett Corona and Kareni Hernandez.

The Woodrow Wilson High School mock trial team won its area competition recently, which means the team advances to the state finals next month.  To qualify for the state tournament, Woodrow defeated one of last year’s top teams, Hillcrest, as well as a team from the Law Magnet, to advance to the Dallas finals. Other DISD schools joining Woodrow at the state tournament are Booker T. Washington and Skyline.
