Woodrow grad Jared Muston joins the Texas 4000 bike ride

Woodrow graduate Jared Muston will be biking from Austin to Anchorage this summer as part of the Texas 4000 for Cancer fundraiser. Muston, who recently was the alumni speaker at the 2010 Woodrow Class Baccalaureate program, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma shortly after graduating from Woodrow in 2007. He missed the first few months of school at the University of Texas in Austin while he was treated, but with his cancer gone, Muston decided to help promote cancer awareness by joining 50-some other riders raising awareness and money on the 4,500-mile ride. You can do two things to help Muston: visit the “cheer” website to help boost the riders’ awareness (it takes about 10 seconds, costs nothing and helps Muston out) or visit Muston’s personal page on the Texas 4000 site and pledge a few bucks to help his cause.
