Adding to the number of traffic-related deaths on Buckner, a woman was killed while waiting at bus stop near Buckner and Peavy Sunday afternoon, Fox 4 reports.
A car collided with the bus stop structure around 2 p.m. while the woman, whose identity has not been released, sat inside. The vehicle that collided with the bus stop ended up 50 yards down the street.
The woman was 48-year-old Darleen Pollard, who died at the scene.
The driver was a 73-year-old man who has not been identified. He was taken to the hospital and told police he had congestive heart failure.
