Wine-bottles-on-shelf.jpg• Lorenzo Polegri will recreate his 2013 James Beard Foundation Dinner “Love, Umbrian Style” at 8:30 pm Feb. 2 at My Private Chef in Deep Ellum. Cost is $125 a person and includes autographed cookbook and raffle ticket. Reservations are required.

• Central 214’s Graham Dodds and guest chef Chad Houser  will cook a five-course benefit dinner for the Promise of Peace Community Garden. Price is $85 per person; reservations required.

• Danyele McPherson is the new chef de cuisine of The Grape on Greenville Avenue. Ian Starr (most recently of Campo Modern Country Bistro) will replace McPherson at sous chef.

• Wine of the week: Line 39 Sauvignon Blanc 2010 ($10), a California white, offers much more than many grocery store wines, including some lime zest and a sort of slate finish – all clean and crisp. Available at Kroger.
