Upon arrival at Winfrey Point for tonight’s meeting to unveil the revised lighting plan for White Rock Lake (yeah I had zero power most of the day so I didn’t get the dozens of e-mails about the cancellation until just now), I was told it had been rescheduled for Monday, June 15 at 5:30 p.m., I assume due to the bad weather. Park Board member Lee Kleinman tells us the plan will be presented to the board, as scheduled, next Thursday.
Speaking of weather, I did notice while I was over there that the spillway looked like Niagra and has become something of a major attraction. Families were parking at the 7-11 and walking to the bridge to witness, photograph and video the falls.
