The White Rock Lake Foundation is planning the Jewel of Dallas Gala at the Granada Theater.
The foundation, which was established in 1989, typically hosts two major fundraisers each year — a golf tournament and a brunch. But this is the first time the foundation is holding a fundraising gala.
Guests will be able to enjoy a menu prepared by local restaurants including Môt Hai Ba, Sfuzzi, Cry Wolf, Sundown at Granada, Meridian at The Village and Loro.
In addition, there will be craft cocktails and a silent and live auction. Live music will be provided by Ricki Derek and his 15-piece band.
“We are so grateful for our board who are planning a fabulous fundraiser,” board member Susan Falvo says.
The foundation announced this year a goal to renovate Winfrey Point, and a sign-installation project is in the works.
Several local businesses are sponsoring the event, scheduled for 7-10 p.m. Oct. 13, including East Dallas Automotive and Sessions Pilates. The presenting sponsor is Oncor.
VIP tickets cost $250 and provide admission to a special cocktail hour 6-7 p.m. Individual tickets are $110, in honor of the White Rock Lake 110th anniversary.
