Lakewood neighbors awoke to a neighbor’s FaceTime Live report about a body found on the roof of the boathouse at White Rock Lake. A police official reported that a call came in on Aug. 22 at 5:42 p.m. It is now described as an “unexplained death.” Neighbors speculated that it was a suicide or that the body had a “slit throat.” Police are waiting for the medical examiner’s report before confirming what happened.
UPDATE Aug. 23, 3:42 p.m.:  A preliminary investigation by police found “a body deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The deceased person’s car was parked at the boathouse. There was a suicide note.”
