The White Rock Lake Dog Park will be closed for four weeks beginning March 29 for maintenance and other upgrades to the turf.
The park is closed for about three weeks every spring for maintenance. But community members say grass in the park does not stay in good shape. To fix the problem, the park must stay closed for an extra week to allow new grass more time to grow.
“We understand that the extended closure isn’t ideal but hope everyone will be pleased with the long-term results,” Paula Blackmon said.
The parking lot and water access will remain open during the park’s closure.
