The restaurant at 1160 Peavy Road closed last March during Dallas County’s shelter-in-place order and never reopened for takeout or limited-capacity service. Owner Marc Cassel last posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page in July, saying the eatery remained closed.

“Hopefully things will improve soon,” he said in the post. “We miss everyone and hope y’all are staying safe. It’s the reason we locked the doors.”

Cassel paid his employees through the end of the year using his Paycheck Protection Program loan, but he could not renegotiate his lease, the Dallas Morning News reported. He’ll be vacating the property by the end of March.

20 Feet Seafood Joint opened in 2013 as a BYOB establishment with fish and chips, lobster rolls, clam chowder and other East Coast favorites.
