We love patio season, and if you’ve been keeping up with all the neighborhood restaurants news, you know there are plenty of options to choose from. Well, now East Dallas has a couple more, and they’re both pretty spectacular.

HG Sply Co. on Greenville already had outdoor seating in front of the restaurant for people who like to eat cavemen food (HG centers around the Palio diet), enjoy the breeze rustling their hair and people-watch passersby. Now they’ve taken things to the next level (lame pun intended) by building a rooftop patio that stretches over all three of their buildings on Greenville: HG Sply Co., Social Mechanics and Remedy.

You can reach the patio through a wide set of stairs tucked in the back of HG Sply Co., and the first impression of the space will probably be, “Holy… this is huge.” At least that was my first impression. It’s pretty much a small village.

It’s broken down into different parts, so there’s something for everyone. There’s a large bar in the center that HG took care to design in such a way that it doesn’t block the view of downtown Dallas. There are long rows of community tables, or cushioned sofa seats arranged in half-circles.

But that’s not all. As I said, there are two new patios in East Dallas. Right down Greenville, Nora Restaurant & Bar recently finished construction on their rooftop patio as well. It’s smaller than the one above HG Sply Co., but if you’re looking for a more intimate setting, it’s a beautiful place to enjoy the view of downtown Dallas.

You can enter the patio two ways, either the stairs in the front of the building by the front door, or the stairs inside the building. There is a bar upstairs for those who just want to enjoy drinks, or tables for people craving Afghan cuisine. There’s also a fire pit in the corner.
