Well Grounded Coffee Community offers first rate coffee and second chances. The shop a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Christian organization that provides job opportunities for women in rehabilitation programs.
This Friday, WGCC is holding an in-house event to for their baristas to celebrate their progress and reveal what they have planned for the future. The event is free to attend, and will feature live music from Mark and Suzann Smith with special house-made focaccia pizza and Italian ice available for $15.
In addition, WGCC is partnering with North Texas Giving Day, an organization that pools donations for nonprofit businesses to stay afloat. Donations to WGCC will go towards a land purchase to build a safe and affordable living community for their baristas and other women in need, as well as expanding the shop and adding a drive thru.
Festivities begin on Friday, September 1, at 6:30 p.m. The shop is located at 9219 Garland Rd # 2109.
