Looking for a good Valentine’s Day date idea? Through March 7, is the 21st annual ‘El Corazon’ exhibit, which features eclectic and passionate art inspired by the heart, curated by Jose Vargas. They will be painting the “Tree of Love,” on Feb. 12, from 7–9 p.m., followed by “Van Gogh’s Starry Night,” on Feb. 13, from 7–10 p.m., and “Two Hearts on a Swing,” or “Highway to Love” on Feb. 14, from 3–5 p.m. For the people who love their pets as much as their partner, they’ll be painting “Paint Your Pet” on Feb. 15 4:30–7:30 p.m. Pinot’s Palette, Lakewood, is situated in Hillside Village at 6465 E. Running through Feb. 22, ‘Skippyjon Jones’ is playing at Dallas Children’s Theater. Skippyjon Jones is a rambunctious Siamese kitten with big ears and an even bigger imagination. When his loving but exasperated mother puts Skippyjon in time-out, he starts to daydream. His imagination takes him far, far away to Mexico, where he pretends that he is a swashbuckling Chihuahua named Skippito Friskito.
