There are 7-Elevens at Mockingbird and Abrams, Abrams and Northwest Highway and Skillman and Northwest Highway, all within about a mile of each other. So why do they almost always have different gas prices?
This is not a rhetorical question. I’d love to know why. The contradiction not only offends my Midwestern sensibility, but costs me money if I buy gas at the wrong place (and yes, I know it’s only a couple of pennies a gallon, but I’m famous for this kind of thing). Usually, but not always, the Mockingbird store has the most expensive gas, with the other two alternating as the least expensive.
