Authorities are investigating after an individual with a gun robbed an East Dallas Waffle House Saturday in broad daylight.

Dallas police responded to the restaurant at 5111 Ross Ave. shortly before noon, according to a tweet from the department.

The local news outlet Smash Da Topic Breaking News captured the police response on Facebook. The video shows two squad cars parked outside the eatery, which opened just south of Henderson Avenue in 2016.

Authorities identified the robber as a black male who was carrying a gun, CultureMap reported. He fled in what may have been a silver Pontiac Aztec SUV.

No injuries were reported.
