City Council District 9 candidate Darren Boruff was quick on his feet with hyperlocal answers to a couple of our questions — something people might find surprising about him, and the greatest athlete in the history of Dallas sports (not a baseball player, which you might assume if you watched his Q&A video). Boruff and opponent Christopher Jackson have in common their “most famous person you’ve ever met,” and though his 2:02 time wasn’t bad, it gave Boruff third place in our lightning round speed score (likely because he spent so much time laughing about his spirit animal).
