It’s that time again; Lochwood Branch Library Friends are hosting another book sale this week.
Participating in local book sales is a way to support local libraries while also getting good deals on books and related media. Books come in all genres, including fiction, nonfiction, children’s, young adults and coffee table. There will also be CDs, DVDs, puzzles, games, magazines and greeting cards. Most of the items on sale cost between 50 cents and $2 each.
The public is welcome to shop May 7-9 — 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Items will be half-price 1:30-4:30 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday. Shoppers can also participate in the $7 bag sale on Saturday.

Of course, if you’re a member of Lochwood Branch Library Friends, you have the first opportunity to buy. Wednesday, May 6 from 3-7 p.m. is for members only, though non-members can come to the preview sale and become members at the door. That costs $10 a year for individuals, $5 per year for students, $7 per year for adults over 60 years old, $20 per year for families and $50 or more for patrons, according to the friends’ website.
Lochwood Branch Library is at 11221 Lochwood Blvd., across from The Home Depot.
