Donned in a a black coat with “what appears to be a Batman patch” on the left and a black hat with shiny beads, a man robbed the Wells Fargo at 6301 Gaston Ave. on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

The unidentified white male with brown hair approached a teller about 4:15 p.m. and demanded money, according to a security notice passed out to all Lakewood Tower tenants, which includes Advocate Media. The teller complied with the request while also triggering a silent alarm to notify police. The man exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash at 4:19 p.m., a mere 3 minutes before police arrived at the scene.
