In a deadly weekend for motorcyclists, a man was thrown from his ride over the weekend in a collision with an SUV at the intersection of Buckner and Northwest Highway. The name of the driver and the deceased have not yet been released. It’s the second high-profile death in six months on the neighborhood thoroughfare, after a teenage driver lost control of his vehicle and collided with oncoming traffic, killing the driver of one vehicle.
East Dallas Chamber of Commerce member Shannon Casada of Lakewood Allegiance Title Company was killed in a motorcycle accident over the weekend in Corinth. In an email to chamber members, Deborah Brown wrote that Casada and her fiancé were hit by a drunk driver, and that she leaves behind three children, along with her fiancés two children. Allegiance Title Company in the Lakewood Shopping Center has a basket for cards and Coldwell Banker is taking donations for the family.
