Star Student Athletes Honored by Gridiron Club
Congratulations to Carter Sido of Hillcrest High School and Cole Wilkinson of Woodrow Wilson High School for being recognized by the National Football Foundation Gridiron Club, Dallas Chapter, as Scholar Athletes. These District 2 student athletes were selected based on their athletic accomplishments, academic performance, and leadership in the community. Keep up the great work both on and off the field!

Congratulations are in order for Anais Childress for being a Teacher of the Year finalist. Ms. Childress teaches International Baccalaureate History and African American Studies at Hillcrest High School and serves as an assistant principal intern. FAFSA/TASFA New Graduation Requirement
As our 12th grade students are preparing to graduate and making post-secondary plans, we want to remind you that the Texas Education Agency now requires that each 12th grade student do one of the following to graduate:
- Complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Complete and submit a Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA)
- Submit a signed opt-out form
Students and families can visit www.dallasisd.org/collegeaccessprogram for a list of resources or to schedule an appointment with a college access advisor.
