Police last Wednesday caught an unimaginative robbery suspect.
Staffers at the 8000 Ferguson road Metro PCS store locked the front door and called police when, outside the store, they saw a guy who just recently had robbed them. (That’s right, more Metro PCS stores in Dallas than there are Starbucks, and he aims to rob the same one twice. )
When the Metro PCS guys wouldn’t let him in, the perpetrator reportedly walked across the street and allegedly donned a ski mask used a gun to rob the Hippo Convenience Store.
Based on the Metro PCS workers’ description, a plain clothed officer from the Northeast Division located the suspect, followed him to a nearby home and called for backup. After obtaining a search warrant, police found the following (among other things) at said home:
$1082
40 packs of Newport cigarettes
1 ski mask
1 gun
The suspect, who is not identified in the police report, was taken to jail.
