“Liberation: Art from Venezuela” is a mixed-media exhibition featuring works from several Venezuelan artists whose art captures the current conditions where freedom is scarce in their home country. Stop by the Bath House Cultural Center to see the exhibit, which closes Saturday, Sept. 29.

In honor of its one-year anniversary, GAPCo is serving $1 pizza slices Friday, Sept. 28. Stop by the Peavy location from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. or 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

Lower Greenville’s Truck Yard is celebrating its fifth birthday Saturday with a food truck competition, live music, an exotic petting zoo and, of course, plenty of local beer. The party starts at noon, and $25 tickets can be purchased in advance here.

Support Mockingbird Elementary and attend the school’s carnival Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Highlights include a rock climbing tower, mechanical swings, petting zoo and a plethora of food vendors. Entry to the carnival is free. Get all the details here.
