Want to stuff your face and not feel guilty about it? Foodiepalooza invites you to eat and drink until you have to undo the button on your pants. The calories don’t count because it’s for charity, right?

This year marks the ninth annual Foodiepalooza, hosted by the East Dallas Boys & Girls Club. The event features local vendors such as Rusty Taco, Hard Eight BBQ and Empire Baking Company. There will be music, dancing and guests can participate in a silent or live auction for dining events and getaways.

Why support the East Dallas Boys & Girls Club? VP of Programs Cherri Rowe and Boys Club member Mavin Tyler told NBC5 what they like about the Boys & Girls Club:

“It keeps them safe, keeps them off of the streets, gives them something to do,” Rowe said. “We provide academic support and enrichment. It’s just a fun place. It’s a place they can go and be a kid, and also have a future.”

“I like doing my homework [there] because whenever we need help, the staff will help us,” Tyler said. “I also like when they pick me up to go to the Boys & Girls Club because I don’t have to walk home.”

Even if you can’t make it to the event, you can still show your support by donating to the organization’s website.
