Neighbor Fran Charbeneau asked state Sen. John Carona to get involved in the tree-trimming dispute. And his intervention resulted in Oncor suspending tree-trimming in Lakewood.
Charbeneau thinks Oncor should trim the trees to within 6 feet of power lines instead of the utility’s pruning standard of 10-foot-4-inches.
After community meetings and attempts at compromise from Oncor, Lakewood neighbors remain dissatisfied with Oncor.
Carona told the Dallas Morning News he intends to meet with Oncor officials on Nov. 29.
