Tomorrow, neighbors are invited to join District 9 City Council member Paula Blackmon and Park Board member Maria Hasbany for some tree planting. The event, which is sponsored by For the Love of the Lake and the White Rock Lake Foundation, is scheduled for Feb. 19 at 9:30 a.m. Head to the Stone Tables (553-683 E. Lawther Drive).

It’s also opening weekend for Dallas Blooms at the Arboretum. This year’s theme is “Birds in Paradise.”

From Feb. 19 to April 10, stop by the Arboretum to see peacock topiaries and more than 500,000 blooming bulbs.

Timed tickets are still required for entry and can be purchased here.
