H.D.’s Clothing Co. will recycle your clothes for a cause Friday and Saturday. Bring clothes for Genesis Women’s Shelter to H.D.’s, and they will match your donation from their own closet. Plus, you can shop at H.D.’s, whose buyers just returned from Paris this month.

Artscape, Friday-Sunday at the Dallas Arboretum, features work from nearly 100 artists. The sale spans all mediums such as sculpture, woodwork, paintings and jewelry. Park hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $8 for children and free for Arboretum members and children 2 and younger.

The Writer’s Garret presents a discussion on writing and publishing novels with speaker Ron Roy, author of “Passing Time”, from 1-3 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.

Sunday, March 20 is the first day of spring. And Downing Hill Garden Studio is celebrating with music from Nina Katrina, door prizes and refreshments from 5-8 p.m.

On Sunday, March 20 at 5 p.m., Good Records hosts Kids Day featuring author Dallas Clayton, musician Micky Adams and the all-kid band For Those About to Rock assembled by Cory Helms of Polyphonic Spree.
