St. Bernard church and school in the Little Forest Hills area hosts one of the most creative haunted houses around (at least it’s been impressive the years I’ve been through it.) They also offer less frightening fun and loads of teeth-destroying treats for all the little ones at the carnival, Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.
Roll Beyond Coal at White Rock Lake, October 31. The Dallas Sierra Club hosts the event as part of a national effort to raise awareness about renewable energy. Wear Halloween costumes on the 9.4-mile ride around the lake starting at the Bath House. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the bike ride starts at 10:30 a.m. More here.
The Dallas Running Club Half Marathon is Sun., Nov. 1 at 8 a.m. Expect traffic delays as 4,000 runners take on 13.1 miles of White Rock area terrain, beginning at Norbuck Park.
