The Sanger Stampede fall carnival is Friday, Oct. 19. And the Stonewall Jackson Elementary School fall carnival is Saturday, Oct. 20.
The J.L. Long volleyball team plays for the bi-district championship at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Jesse Owens Memorial Complex. If the team wins that game, they play for city champion at 2 p.m. The team went undefeated in the regular season.
The Balcony Club is throwing a benefit concert for a hospitalized friend. Jarvis Hill, the son of vocalist and Balcony Club regular Glennda Hill, needs a heart transplant. The benefit is from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21.
