09.18 TOUR DES FLEURS 20k and 10k races at White Rock Lake benefit the Dallas Arboretum. Entry fees are $40-$50, and the races start at 7:30 and 8 a.m. Also at 8 a.m. is the less ambitious Walk in the Garden, which tours the arboretum and is stoller friendly.
09.18 AUTUMN AT THE ARBORETUM opens this weekend and runs through Nov. 14. The high temperature for Saturday is 96. That’s fall-like for Dallas, right? The arboretum’s fall features include four walk-through houses made entirely of pumpkins and the Storybook Pumpkin Village. Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for children 3 and older and free for younger kids.
09.18 SANTA FE SAFETY FESTIVAL The Santa Fe Neighborhood Crime Watch and Dallas Code Compliance are hosting this “Unity in the Community Festival”, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Old East Dallas Work Yard Park.
09.18 SURFIN STA St. Thomas Aquinas is having a beach-themed festival starting at noon. It features bingo, a boardwalk, talent show and raffle, and it’s free.
09.18 DALLAS GREEN FESTIVAL It’s the third annual festival, and it’s at Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
