The Exchange Club of East Dallas hosts “The Mother of All Celebrations” Saturday, May 8, on the Lakewood Country Club pool deck. The event is open to the public and features socially distant tables, dinner, dancing, an open bar, and silent and live auctions.

Entertainment will be provided by ’80s cover band “The Spazmatics”.

Net proceeds help fund need-based scholarship opportunities for Woodrow Wilson High School graduates. Twenty Woodrow graduates are attending college with the financial assistance of the Exchange Club.

Cost is $200 per person, with socially distant 4-tops and 6-tops available. Title sponsorships are available for $2,500.

The Exchange Club of East Dallas supports the educational needs of the 7,000-plus neighborhood public school children. Founded in 1948, the club annually distributes 2,000 winter coats and 20,000 books, provides 3,000 free eye exams, and donates 250-400 pairs of eyeglasses, along with raising funds to provide need-based college scholarships, and school library and playground refurbishment.
